The advent of cloud computing has significantly transformed business information management and application handling. However, managing cloud infrastructures can be challenging due to their complexity and constant evolution. Ensuring data security in the cloud involves safeguarding electronic records from external threats, human errors, and internal risks. Despite extensive research on trust, accountability, and transparency issues in cloud platforms like Google Cloud, gaps remain in understanding the security measures ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and availability. This study focuses on security concerns related to trust, accountability, and transparency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework, the research explores factors influencing technology adoption and provides recommendations for improving GCP’s security features. A qualitative research approach was employed to investigate these challenges. Findings indicate that existing studies lack consistency in developing effective cloud security strategies, leading to an imbalance between security, privacy, and accountability. The study concludes that data security in GCP systems involves multiple aspects, including integrity, privacy, accessibility, and protection against unauthorized access.
