Real-Time Carbon Footprint Monitoring in Organisational Infrastructure Using IoT
摘要
The feasibility of calculating an industry's carbon footprint using an Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi combo is investigated in this study. Utilising the Arduino Uno's ability to gather data from sensors that monitor energy consumption in commercial buildings, the method works. After receiving this data, the Raspberry Pi analyses it and calculates the associated carbon footprint using its larger processing power. In this work, the implementation details—sensor selection, Raspberry Pi data processing and transmission, and Arduino Uno data gathering—are investigated. This technology's effectiveness is assessed by real-time data monitoring and carbon footprint calculations. The results examine the benefits and drawbacks of this methodology, taking into account aspects such as accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. The research concludes with suggestions for future developments and uses of this technology for the measurement of a full carbon footprint in industrial settings.
