Sustainable Land Management (SLM) and Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) are development components to be confederated through the mare belief to sustain the environment globally. The study demonstrates methodologies to be deployed for assessment along with the cutting-edge parameters for land degradation; however, it emphasizes the prominence of such factors in land degradation. Conserving biodiversity, generating jobs, and achieving the sustainable development goals are some of the outcomes when integrated with sustainable land-management practices. Methodologies include indicators and questionnaire-based approaches for soil health and productivity assessment and their application in regional and global contexts. Rajasthan case study demonstrates new framework techniques, such as the Pressure-State-Response model and Google Earth Engine for monitoring land degradation coupled with combating it. It puts a specific emphasis on such seminal ecosystem-based indicators as soil organic carbon, vegetation index, and climatic indices which ultimately culminate in the realization of LDN. The chapter critiques challenges in integrating land-use practices, economies, and topographical influences, creating a systemic analysis of sustainable land management strategies.
