The goal for twenty-first century RH must meet specific requirements that impart minimum stress on the body and, at the same time, preserve bodily functions. To achieve this, the twentieth century surgical concept of RH must be reestablished and based on one capable of accommodating the morphological changes on a body induced by surgical manipulations. By coining a term “clinical anatomy” that would form the foundation of this new surgical concept, the author will discuss in this chapter his perspective on reconciling patient’s safety with surgical procedures.
