Since its adoption, the STG has become central to addressing conflicts in Africa, as expressed in a few case studies. Therefore, this chapter reflects on the numerous cases of the theory and practice of the STG in Africa. Doing this would not only aid in having a firm grasp of the theory and experiences of Africa but also see the extent to which the continent is adapting to calls to STG in tandem with its 2063 development agenda. Though several challenges were identified within the practice of the STG, the chapter provides some recommendations on the best possible ways of addressing them to meet the African Union’s long-term Agenda 2063 goal.
