The introduction of biportal endoscopic transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) using a large-sized cage represents a significant advancement in minimally invasive lumbar interbody fusion [1–3]. Biportal endoscopic TLIF may have both advantages of minimally invasive (MIS) microscopic TLIF and spinal endoscopic surgery.

The introduction of biportal endoscopic transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) using a large-sized cage represents a significant advancement in minimally invasive lumbar interbody fusion [1–3].
