Potential transportation options include fuel cell cars, aircraft powered by hydrogen, and environmentally friendly cargo fuels such as ammonia. The industrial applications include chemically producing methanol and ammonia, producing cement with reduced carbon emissions, and using direct reduced iron from hydrogen in steelmaking, all of which are environmentally friendly. For agriculture applications, a more sustainable farming practice that reduces the environmental impact of food production is the use of fertilizers manufactured by hydrogen.
