There appears to be a lot of cybercrimes that create financial and psychological impacts. Awareness is recommended to raise in every person. There are a lot of programs conducted to deliver the knowledge about information security and cybercrime attacks. Even though digital literacy is taught in every educational programs and knowledge discipline, the confidence to use digital technology are varied, which affect the ability to recognize cybercrimes and properly react. Knowing about information security and related law and regulations should affect the cybercrime recognition levels. However, the cybercrime recognition is still in different level. There appear to be some behaviors when introducing the information security laws and cybercrime techniques, which based on educational knowledge and experience related to digital technology and cybercrimes. The contents and techniques used to deliver cybercrimes techniques and laws should be considered when promoting awareness. The employees with various job positions in information security management organization are asked to take the e-questionnaire developed to test the cybercrime recognition when facing different cybercrime actors’ characteristics and techniques used. ANOVA was conducted to test the different of risk levels derived from cybercrime recognition level. The results indicated that different knowledge backgrounds and experience related to cybercrimes yielded different cybercrime recognitions, especially when using social media and human firewall. The awareness programs should contain currently cybercrime techniques, updated laws and regulation related, and the recommended actions when facing cybercrime actors. Theses awareness programs can be conducted by several sectors; however, the contents and delivery techniques needed to design based on the target groups of each awareness program.
