Design of a Frequency Reconfigurable Microstrip Patch Antenna for S-Band/C-Band/X-Band/WiMAX Applications
摘要
The design of a printed rectangular monopole antenna (RMPA) with offset microstrip feed is presented in this study. The structure is created using a 25 × 15 × 0.8 mm3 FR4 substrate. To enable multiband operation, the suggested arrangement involves engraving a hexagon-shaped slot, four rectangles on the substrate and it has two stubs. Two PIN diodes are employed for making the electrical connections. By altering the states of these PIN diodes, the antenna is able to reconfigure its frequency. With a reasonable return loss, the suggested rectangular monopole antenna (RMPA) can be set to seven different resonance frequencies: 3.275, 6.4925, 2.302, 9.2945, 3.2966, 6.3929, and 3.2915 GHz. A preset radiation pattern is provided by each changeable condition.
