This research paper examines the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing scenario planning and strategic foresight capabilities within business consulting. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis of industry applications, we explore how AI technologies are being leveraged to augment traditional foresight methodologies. Key areas of focus include AI-driven data analysis, pattern recognition, and simulation modeling to generate more robust scenarios and strategic options. The paper also assesses the challenges and limitations of AI adoption in this domain. Our findings indicate that while AI holds significant potential to improve the speed, scale, and sophistication of foresight exercises, human expertise remains crucial for interpreting results and crafting actionable strategies. We conclude with recommendations for effectively integrating AI into scenario planning and foresight practices.
