Zirconium carbide (ZrC) have very high melting point and have high mechanical strength thus found wide application in nuclear reactors, machine industries. In present paper, UEOS (Universal Equation of State) in combined with the Mie-Grüneisen hypothesis is used to study temperature effect on isothermal EOS for Zirconium carbide. In addition, the variation of thermal expansion, bulk modulus and heat capacity with temperature have been discussed. Calculated results are compared with the available experimental and theoretical results.

摘要
