Acute head trauma is a common occurrence following road traffic accidents nowadays, and this chapter details the otorhinolaryngological manifestations of acute head trauma. An ENT opinion may be sought in patients with acute head trauma who are found to have severe epistaxis, nasal bone fracture, maxillofacial trauma, bleeding from the ear, and CSF rhinorrhea or otorrhea. The related history and examination findings in these patients is described and illustrated with clinical photographs. The immediate management of these complications of acute head trauma with appropriate imaging is described in detail.
