Small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) is an effective technique for studying varying foam structures. Recently, we succeeded in quantitatively obtaining nano- and micro-level structural information on foams formed by surfactants, including film thickness and average radius of bubbles, by combining various measurement methods centered on SANS. This chapter discusses the structural analysis of foam formed by surfactants, focusing on recent investigations conducted by the authors.

摘要

Small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) is an effective technique for studying varying foam structures. Recently, we succeeded in quantitatively obtaining nano- and micro-level structural information on foams formed by surfactants, including film thickness and average radius of bubbles, by combining various measurement methods centered on SANS. This chapter discusses the structural analysis of foam formed by surfactants, focusing on recent investigations conducted by the authors.
