Practical Demonstrations and Technological Insights for Ultrasound-Based Energy Harvesting for Biomedical Applications
摘要
In this paper, we consider the application of piezoelectric transducers to ultrasound-based energy harvesting and present theoretical analysis as well as experimental results. The first goal is to determine the feasibility and viability of this technology for sustaining biomedical and other steady, power-dependent long-term devices. In this paper, we examine several system designs for ultrasound-based energy harvesting through simulation as well as actual implementation. A piezoelectric transducer is incorporated to convert ultrasound waves into electrical energy. Comparative analysis of the simulated output with the actual result is made to check the performance. The simulation results indicate the feasibility of various types of ultrasound energy harvesting configurations and their relative performance and efficiency. Theoretical analysis is supported by such practical evidences, and in particular, piezoelectric transducer is able to deliver output voltage. The indirect comparison of the virtual and practical outputs revealed much more detailed information regarding system efficiency and stability.
