Rudin [4] proved the existence of Haar measures on compact Hausdorff topological groups by means of the Kakutani fixed-point theorem. In this note, we extend Rudin’s idea so as to cover the case of locally compact groups.

摘要

Rudin [4] proved the existence of Haar measures on compact Hausdorff topological groups by means of the Kakutani fixed-point theorem. In this note, we extend Rudin’s idea so as to cover the case of locally compact groups.
