Fossil resources are still the primary energy and chemical source of energy. Every country do not have a supply of fuel and import from countries like the U.A.E, Russia, etc., which have a surplus of fuel. To meet the increasing demand for fuel and decrease the imports of crude oil, the blend of ethanol is being made to make the country self-sustainable. Currently, ethanol is being produced from first-generation feed-stocks, i.e., edible items, which if further prolonged for a long time causes a scarcity of food in the future. A detailed study on the production of ethanol from second generation feed-stocks, i.e., non-edible cellulosic biomass is being done in this study. An increase of 12.6% in obtainable potential ethanol is observed while increasing the operating temperature. A complete analysis of the variation in the percentage of potential ethanol obtained with the variation in operating conditions is being done in this study.
