The growing integration of AI in financial markets has impacted the approaches that investors take towards stock price prediction and market-related decision-making, creating a broad range of speculative processes. Based on a literature review, this paper identifies the main trends, benefits, and challenges presented using AI in financial markets. It discusses how AI improves the predictability of market processes and how it boosts investors’ trust and confidence, thereby influencing the potential for economic growth. This paper also outlines the main limitations of current research and concludes that a study of the integration of AI technologies and human expertise in this area requires a more comprehensive sector-specific approach.
