Drug development refers to the process of discovering, developing, and bringing new drugs to market to treat various diseases and medical conditions. Drug discovery, preclinical development, clinical development, regulatory approval, and post-market monitoring are the usual steps in the drug development process (Deore in Asian J Pharm Res Dev 7:62–67, 2019). Particularly, drug discovery and preclinical development are the foundation stages for the entire development drug process. In which, the drug discovery stage involves identifying potential new drugs through various research methods, such as target identification, drug screening, and drug design (Deore in Asian J Pharm Res Dev 7:62–67, 2019). Before being tested on people in the preclinical research stage, the medication is first evaluated for safety and effectiveness in laboratory and animal tests (Deore in Asian J Pharm Res Dev 7:62–67, 2019). During these stages, it is necessary to perform some quality control tests to ensure that the developed drug works in the correct mechanism and dosage, helping to reverse the disease for the patient.
