Low Carbon Multi Fuel Power Generation Technology for Coal-Fired Power Plants and Its Application in China
摘要
In the context of dual carbon goals, the disposal and integrated utilization of zero/low-carbon fuels from multiple sources represent a pivotal direction for the clean and low-carbon sustainable development of coal-fired power plants. This thesis proposes a research and pilot direction for zero/low-carbon combustion technologies and hydrogen-rich fuels by conducting a review of existing multi-fuel blending technologies in coal-fired power plants and case studies on projects within China, particularly those under the Huadian Group such as the Shiliquan, Xiangyang, and Yong’an projects. Currently, the blending ratios of various schemes for biomass and coal blended combustion do not exceed 20% of the input heat of coal-fired boilers, and the efficiency of biomass fuel power generation ranges from 33% to 37%. Owing to the low sulfur and zero carbon attributes of these multi-fuels, their partial substitution for coal can lead to significant reductions in carbon and SO₂ emissions, offering promising prospects.
