Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLc) in Wireless Multimedia: Prospects and Challenge

This article places emphasis on Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Com-munications (URLLC) in the context of wireless multimedia applications that demand high reliability and minimal latency. It reviews the significance of URLLC and its relevance to real-time multimedia services. The article also ex-amines the technical challenges associated with implementing URLLC in existing wireless networks and discusses potential future prospects. By enabling ultra-reliable and low-latency communication, URLLC has the potential torevolutionize wireless multimedia, facilitating applications such as remote surgery, autonomous vehicles, and immersive virtual reality experiences. Efforts are underway to overcome the technical hurdles and ensure the successful integration of URLLC into wireless networks, promising a significant impact on the quality and reliability of multimedia services.
