Energy flexibility of complex building energy systems powered by renewable energy systems is receiving increasing attention integrating diversified battery storage and electric vehicles. However, there is limited research on energy management systems for building integration with photovoltaic vacuum glazing with high grid flexibility. In this study, three different energy management strategies are proposed for a practical high-rise office building in the Greater Bay Area, namely, direct grid output, planned grid fixed output, and planned grid fixed output based on time-of-use tariff. The results show the proposed grid-flexible energy management strategies show better grid stability with the grid flexibility factor at about -0.53 and -1.59, respectively. The grid-flexible energy management strategies provide important guidance for power plan and management to grid operators as a possible way to achieve a stable grid output in the typical high-rise office building.
