Applying System Dynamics to Address Planning and Monitoring Issues
摘要
Project managers struggle with planning and monitoring for ensuring project success, but these crucial components are essential for resolving issues and ensuring project success. Utilizing a literature review and experimental methods, the study effectively addressed planning and monitoring concerns by examining published papers and developing a novel System Dynamic model. According to the literature analysis, (1) project managers face difficulties in planning and monitoring tasks, ranging from 78.33 to \(81.66\%\) . (ii) 80– \(90\%\) of managers are aware of SD, which can assist with planning and monitoring issues. (iii) 78.33– \(86.66\%\) project managers understand the project’s impact if planning and monitoring challenges. (iv) 76.66– \(86.66\%\) of project managers lack the programming and mathematics skills to create SD models for planning and monitoring. As a result of SD complexity, managers often disregard SD. As a result, the project manager decides to use different tools. (v) The results reveal that \(0\%\) of free downloadable SD models from the public domain to resolve planning and monitoring difficulties. As a result, the author chose to conduct experimental research on a novel SD model to address planning and monitoring concerns using programming and mathematical skills.
