Analysis of Accuracy of Empirical and Semi-Empirical Models in Prediction of Sound Absorption Characteristics of Acoustical Materials
摘要
The chapter reports the comparative evaluation of sound absorption characteristics predicted by various empirical and semi-empirical models such as Delany Bazley, Miki, Johnson-Champoux-Allard (JCA) and Johnson-Champoux-Allard-Lafarge (JCAL) models are used widely in building acoustics. These models are utilized in the present study for the prediction of sound absorption characteristics of commonly used acoustical materials. The parameters associated with various analytical models are presented in the present study and these models are then compared with the experimental study conducted in the Sound Impedance tube to check the accuracy.
