In this study, a novel Reversible Data Hiding (RDH) method for JPEG images is proposed, which utilizes both “0” and “±1” DCT coefficients for data embedding. The method combines the strengths of using both types of coefficients to achieve a balance between visual quality and file size increment. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach offers a larger maximum embedding capacity and improved visual quality compared to existing RDH methods, while also maintaining smaller file size increases. The method effectively addresses the limitations of using only “0” coefficients or only “±1” coefficients, resulting in enhanced performance in various scenarios.

摘要
