Blockchain-Driven Pediatric Vaccine Management: Utilizing RSA-Encrypted NFTs, and IPFS for Secure Solutions

Effective vaccination is crucial for public health, however, traditional paper-based systems are prone to errors and inefficiencies. This paper proposes a blockchain-based solution, leveraging smart contracts to automate data management processes, RSA-encrypted NFTs to provide tamper-proof digital certification of vaccination events and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for decentralized data storage. By doing this, our approach not only ensures the immutability and accessibility of vaccination records, but also enhance the security, transparency, and efficiency of pediatric vaccine management as a whole. Our system is then evaluated in term of performance efficiency and transaction fees across multiple EVM-supported blockchain platforms, including Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Fantom, and Celo to highlight practical implementation insights for transparent and trustworthy blockchain-driven vaccine management system.
