Ad hoc network has modernized the way devices communicate with each other and how the data can be seamlessly transferred without referring to a solid infrastructure, with ad hoc network a new dynamic infrastructure-less model has popped up to the surface. Flying ad hoc network (FANET) is one of the models that were represented under the umbrella of ad hoc network, with promising enhancement in applications such as healthcare, agriculture and disaster management, through this review we have studied the applications, the routing protocols and security in FANET.
