Numerical Modeling of Sound Transmission in the Human Ear Using Finite Element Analysis: Integration of Lumped-Parametric Model
摘要
This study presents a finite element (FE) numerical model of the human ear, combining a detailed 3D model of the external ear with a lumped-parameter model for the middle and inner ear structures. The geometry of the external ear and tympanic membrane (eardrum) was reconstructed from radiological images. In contrast, the middle and inner ear structures are modeled using a mass-spring-damper mechanical approach. This model enables the simulation of acoustic wave transmission through the various ear structures, reducing the complexity of simulations while maintaining good accuracy in analyzing dynamic phenomena.
