Comparative Study and Optimization of Electrodeposition Parameters for Hydroxyapatite Coatings: Enhancing Biomedical Implant Performance
摘要
Biomedical implants, particularly those composed of metallic substrates coated with a layer of calcium phosphate, exhibit enhanced performance in terms of osseointegration and corrosion resistance. This short analysis was written to demonstrate the effect of electrodeposition factors such as electrolyte composition, current density, pH value, and temperature on the ability of hydroxyapatite to be created. The optimization of these parameters makes it easier for the coatings to have uniformly sized crystals. At the same time, strengthening adhesion and controlling surface roughness relatively enhance interaction with biological tissues. This report provides a powerful tool for understanding the elements that increase orthopedic implant performance in biologically demanding situations. There is also a review of how more minor modifications of these vital technologies can lead to the production of synthetic biomaterials that act in dynamically challenging biological environments.
