Likewise, civil wars can emerge within countries through similar dynamics, at times escalating to an international scale. Additionally, terrorism has perpetuated cycles of violence, occasionally transcending national borders. While completely eradicating war from international relations may be unattainable, exploring ways to prevent conflicts among major powers is crucial for global stability. The assessment of world stability as an interconnected system has been a focus of macro-level discourse in international relations. This chapter presents such discussions on macro-level security and examines how nations can reconcile after their stability is undermined by significant events, such as world wars.
