A Virtual Air Canvas Model Using OpenCV, MediaPipe and gTTS for Elderly and Visually Impaired People
摘要
Writing is a cohesive method of communication that enables the expression of our ideas. The predominant techniques of information capture nowadays are writing and typing. Computers utilize gesture recognition as a method to identify and categorize human motions. This work addresses this gap by creating a motion-to-text converter that operates as software for wearable smart devices, allowing users to write in the air. The program will utilize computer vision techniques to continuously watch and track finger movement. The program employs textual communication, among other methods, for dispatching emails and SMS. The proposed model incorporates a color scheme and a distinct option that, when selected, utilizes text-to-speech software from the gTTS library to generate audio output.
