This chapter examines the replica wormhole approach to understanding the Page curve in the context of the black hole information problem. The problem is recast in terms of employing the gravitational path integral to calculate the von Neumann entropy of Hawking radiation. By including saddle points with non-trivial topologies in the path integral, the Page curve emerges naturally. The central result is encapsulated in the island formula. The chapter seeks to maintain a balance between conciseness and a self-contained exposition.
