Green finance is aimed at promoting global environmental sustainability through green growth. This chapter explores the dynamic linkage between green finance and green economic growth in countries of the global south. The study employs the method of dynamic panel estimate on the sample of 47 selected economies from the global south over the period of 2000–2019. Using the data from the World Bank (2022), KOF Swiss Economic Institute (2022) and OECD Development Assistance Committee (2022), the estimated regression models imply that green finance significantly affects green economic growth through energy-environmental performance more in countries with higher level of digitalization and financial development. The policy implications for developing nations include fostering green innovation and improving environmental performance.
