Revolutionizing Green Transportation: Unleashing the Power of Public and Private Collaboration for Sustainable Mobility in India
摘要
India’s burgeoning urbanization and transportation demands have cast a spotlight on the imperative need for green transportation and sustainable mobility. This research explores the transformative role of public–private partnerships (PPP) in reshaping India’s transportation ecosystem to embrace sustainability. By integrating both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including the analysis of empirical data and stakeholder interviews, this study assesses how collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors influence the adoption of green transportation technologies in India. It aims to uncover multifaceted benefits and challenges inherent in such collaborations. Success stories and case studies underscore the transformative potential of these alliances while highlighting the hurdles that warrant strategic attention. Furthermore, the chapter enriches the discourse on sustainable transportation by providing practical policy implications and recommendations for government and industry stakeholders, designed to fuel innovation in this sector. While the analysis underscores the importance of big investments, strategic coverage incentives, and strong charging infrastructure for accelerating electric-powered automobile (EV) adoption, it additionally reveals that those components alone are inadequate. The completions of those initiatives depend on the cohesive policy frameworks, strategic infrastructure investments, and encouraging surroundings favourable to technological innovation.
