Exploring Fintech Market Landscape in the MENA Region

The study of the fintech market in the countries of the Middle East has received increasing attention in recent years, in the context of the fourth industrial revolution and the pressures of the global health crisis and its marked economic and social consequences in the countries of this region. The fourth revolution has contributed to the emergence of a new type of financial services, called technological financeTechnological finance, which has breathed new life into the world and the Middle East. Financial technology has achieved significant success in the MENA region despite the challenges faced by most countries in the region. This chapter analyzes the fintech market in the MENA zone, which is characterized by the penetration of startups and neo-banks, as well as the differences between middle-eastern and North African countries. At the local level, fintech has contributed to the creation of new jobs, cost reductions, and the speed of service delivery. At a global level, fintech has facilitated global trade and created new payment and advertising methods.
