A dermoscopic color correction method is proposed based on the Newton iteration method for the gamma correction and the multi-scale image fusion, which conquers the color deviation in the dermoscopic images. The designed experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can deal with the color correction with different constraints, which can achieve color correction of the image while preserving the color features of the lesion region as much as possible. The proposed method is not sensitive to parameter settings, and ensures the stability od the experimential results, on the contrary, other existed methods exhibit significant flaws across different types of the skin disease images.
