VAE-Stega: Enhanced Secured Video Steganography with Hierarchical Variational Auto-encoder
摘要
Video steganography involves embedding a hidden video within a regular video by converting the hidden video into binary bits and inserting them into the regular video’s frames. Traditional methods are limited in capacity, often compromising the regular video’s usability when too much information is hidden. To address this, we introduce VAE-Stega, a novel video obfuscation approach using a Hierarchical Variational Auto-Encoder (HVAE). Evaluated on the UCF101 dataset, our primary objective is to make the hidden video undetectable. We meticulously prepare the original and regular videos, employ advanced algorithms for embedding and extraction, and utilize robust secret-keeping strategies to ensure security and detectability. Experiments demonstrate that HVAE-Stega effectively conceals hidden videos while preserving the regular video’s appearance, offering a promising method for secure and covert video information sharing.
