Form of Traditional Architecture in the Northern Delta—Vietnam

Each country’s architecture has its own characteristics in cultural expression. Despite a complicated historical background with wartime and acculturation with foreign countries, ancient Vietnamese still formed their own independent cultural notions leading to a distinctive traditional architecture. This paper will focus on presenting the aspect of form of traditional architecture in the Northern Delta of Vietnam in the period preceding cultural exchange with the Western world. This is considered worthy values to be preserved and inherited in the ongoing and powerful context of globalization.
