This chapter endeavors to enhance crop resistance to adverse factors like drought, salinity, and extreme temperatures through the identification of important physiological and biochemical mechanisms involved in stress responses. Researchers significantly highlighted morphological, cellular, and metabolic changes to gain knowledge about how these happenings contribute to improved stress resistance. These include approaches such as breeding and genetic engineering for integrating the newly discovered knowledge into practical solutions to enhance crop resilience. Future research directions include the approach toward climate change, environmental stress, and their implications on agricultural productivity. The focus is on interdisciplinary collaboration and proposed areas of study include advanced genetic techniques, functional genomics, and sustainable agriculture practices.
