Microbial Biosurfactants for Oil Spill Treatment
摘要
The remediation agent used for oil spill clean-up such as chelating and sodium lauryl sulphate or acetytrimethyl ammonium bromide as complexion has become the common environmental oil clean-up. However, efficiently this agent is observed to be non- biodegradable and may cause secondary contaminants. The surfactants are reported as a group of amphophilic chemical compound of both hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics which form indispensable components in the industry. The importance is evidence from the enormous amount used and its consistent utilization, ranging from food and beverage, in agriculture, public health as well as bioremediation and textile industries.
