This paper reviews how Big Data technologies can enhance Food Supply Chain Management (FSCM). Analyzing 324 studies from 2015 to 2024, it identifies key challenges, technologies, and underutilized areas within the industry. Findings reveal that Data Analytics, AI, blockchain, IoT, and smart agriculture significantly improve traceability, efficiency, and sustainability in FSCM. However, gaps remain, including limited technology adoption among SMEs due to resource constraints and a concentration of studies in specific regions. The paper offers actionable recommendations to address these issues, supporting food quality improvement and waste reduction across the supply chain. This review is a valuable guide for researchers and practitioners aiming to optimize FSCM through Big Data.
