The article gives innovative perspectives in interdisciplinary research (computer science, medicine) with examples from a domain-specific area (texture analysis in biomedical images) that are bases for innovations in multimodal research (image, sound). The next stage of analysis to obtain greater understanding of the object via structure is inquiry. The publication provides an overview of interdisciplinary research, shares achieved results and planned extensions of the research (sonification, computational topology), as well as research methodology and innovative work in the research network.
