Bone quality and quantity are a vital factor in achieving osseointegration. Based on panoramic radiographs, bone quality is classified into: Type I, Type II, Type III, and Type IV, which can be related to the surgery experience. Many techniques have been practised to assess dental implant stability including Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA) which is measured regularly during monitoring after implant placement. To understand the mechanism of loading on the installed implant, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is commonly used to evaluate biomechanically the stress distribution on the various loading types.
