Role of the North–South Corridor on Iran’s Convergence with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Members
摘要
Iran’s transportation and transit network as well as its port capacities in the Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Oman Sea and the Indian Ocean can serve to strengthen transportation in the SCO, and with its full realization commercial and economic access from the south and east Asia will be facilitated to the countries of Central Asia, the Caucasus, Russia, the Black Sea and Europe. The development of the INSTC can provide the ground for more convergence of SCO members on one hand and Iran with SCO members, especially China and Russia, Tajikistan, India and Uzbekistan on the other hand.
