This chapter examines the formation of a triangular network of economic corridors across Eurasia, initiated by China, India, and the European Union (EU) since 2013, as a reflection of their respective political regimes. The three initiatives—China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI, 2013), the EU’s Global Gateway Initiative (GGI, 2021), and India’s Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC, 2023)—symbolize competing autocratic, hybrid, and democratic governance models. While these corridors, worth trillions of dollars, primarily bolster domestic growth and stability, their secondary goal is partner country development. The chapter argues that incomplete democratization and transitional justice within these powers influence Eurasia’s political and economic trajectory.

摘要
