This chapter attempts to construct a behavioral guide for Catholic health workers’ lay social spirituality that applies a holistic, interdisciplinary, sociological, and inductive synodal approach to address the commodification of public health and uphold the rights of the poor. It spells out its basic macro and micro requirements to resist the growing marketization of health care and uphold the rights of the poor. It attempts to establish a lay Catholic social spirituality that is equipped with some basic behavioral components for healthcare practitioners to implement the Catholic Church’s social teachings on universal health care and the preferential option for the poor.
