Saving natural resources for our future has become indispensable although this path traces out to be nostalgic there are alternate ways to stock up the void created by the conventional resources, concentrated solar power systems (CSP) is one such with enticing potential. This chapter provides a rundown of the fundamental principles and applications of the CSP systems. It initiates with the applicable factors that diminishes achievable concentration level of the solar radiation, Optical techniques, its topologies, parameters and margins on the extent to which radiation can be concentrated, the state of thermal energy losses in the receiver. The power cycle variants and its principles capitalized for power generation. Accompanied by the applications of CSP system which includes power generation with distinctive modes such as parabolic trough collector (PTC), solar power tower (SPT), linear Fresnel reflector (LFS), parabolic dish systems (PDS), concentrated photovoltaic (CPV). Industrial applications like smelting, melting, sterilizing, water desalination, process heating, thermal energy storage and so forth are to be discussed.
