The Oyu Stone Circles, located in Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture, are part of the Jomon Archaeological Sites in Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku, which have been designated as a World Heritage Site. Over 90 years have elapsed since the discovery of this archaeological site. Despite subsequent cleaning and preservation treatments, deterioration has continued. Our research has embarked on an attempt to recreate the images of the sundial-like stone settings of the stone circles as they were originally constructed, utilizing CycleGAN. Although replicas are available as target candidates for CycleGAN, they have also undergone nearly 30 years of exposure, resulting in the growth of lichens and other organisms. Consequently, images of riverbed stones collected nearby were utilized instead. However, the expected transformation results have not been achieved.
