Traditional tourism infrastructure often struggles to keep up with the evolving expectations and demands of tourists and the rapid advancement of technology. Therefore, integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers innovative solutions that can transform how cities engage with tourists. This paper explores challenges in tourism experience, the integration framework of Generative AI into existing technology ecosystem, benefits gained from this framework and stakeholders involved, with the focus on transforming tourism to become a more personalized experience while benefiting both tourists and locals. Generative AI capability to provide personalized recommendations on food, sights, information and activities will provide a more engaging experience. The community is central to this approach, as user-generated content feeds back into the system, allowing locals and tourists to share their experiences, reviews and recommendations. By analyzing user preferences and existing city data, such as traffic patterns and community dynamics, the AI can generate tailored suggestions that enhance the overall tourist experience.
