Warm laser shock peening (WLSP) provides a more stable compressive stress distribution under heating and cyclic loading by combining the advantages of laser shock peening (LSP) with the effects of dynamic strain aging. By carefully controlling these parameters, WLSP can effectively enhance the mechanical properties of materials through dynamic deformation and create new opportunities for various industrial applications. Both surface microhardness of the Ti6Al4V titanium alloy samples can be enhanced after LSP and WLSP processing, with WLSP resulting in a higher hardness value compared to LSP. The beneficial effect of the WLSP-hardened layer could potentially enhance the mechanical properties of IN718 alloy under high-temperature conditions. The compressive residual stress generated by LSP and WLSP plays a key role in improving fatigue strength by offsetting tensile stresses and preventing crack initiation and growth. The WLSP plays a crucial role in enhancing the tensile strength of aluminum alloys, making it an important method for improving mechanical properties in various applications.

摘要
