Open Loop Control Strategy of Eleven-Level Multilevel Inverter Design Utilizing Reduced Number of Switches

High-quality AC electricity is necessary for electronic gadgets to operate correctly. The quality of the AC output power is enhanced by raising the inverter’s level. However, as the level grows, so do the number of switches and associated components. As a consequence, inverter losses increase, reducing inverter efficiency significantly. Therefore, to optimize multilevel inverter design in open loop system it’s vital to minimize the amount of switches used. In this paper, a different approach of designing multilevel inverter is proposed, which can increase the generation of two-level output voltage by increasing only one switch. Specifically, this paper presents a new way of developing an eleven-level single-phase multilevel inverter using only eight switches.
